A person or an actor, a meeting, instructions
The artist instructs a person or an actor to act as her sounding board in situations where he or she is needed. In a meeting with a curator, in a public talk or in a social situation, he or she would emphasize or add to what the artist said, suggest a question, explain a point, make associations, etc. that are relevant to the conversation.
